Village Meetings

The centerpiece of life in The City Church is “Villages.” These intentional communities on mission meet in homes, coffee shops, and pubs in various parts of Fort Worth. While we value Sundays, Villages enable us to have multiple “focus areas” of Fort Worth, which each Village seeks to engage and restore. The basic idea is that everyone finds an intergenerational Village near your home, as it fits your schedule. While Villages are in each others' lives often, in Village meetings, we do what the church did in Acts 2: we share a meal together, talk about life, spend time in biblical encouragement, pray for each other, and meet each others’ needs as they arise. On a regular basis, each Village will vary from its usual structure and spend our weekly time serving our community and loving our neighbors together, carrying out local mission.

Sundays

While Villages are the centerpiece of "City life," The City Church strongly believes in worshipping together, and that worship includes songs, creeds, sermons, and communion. But we also believe that God designed worship to be much more than a specific event every week. In order to equip you to worship with all your life - "whether you eat or drink or whatever you do" (1 Cor 10:31) - The City Church worships together every Sunday. But we do so in a rhythm of "Gathered Worship" and "Scattered Worship." 40 of the year we host All-Church Gatherings, where we worship God through song, creed, preaching through the Bible, and sharing communion together. But the last Sunday of each month are intentional "Scattered Sundays," where we worship God through serving our city, loving our neighbors, and practicing Sabbath.

Other Events

In addition to our regular gatherings, The City Church occasionally hosts community events, classes/seminars, weekend events, student/college-specific events, men’s/women’s events, and more.
