Use the Online Network Well, #1

As you know, we’re continuing to step up our church family’s use of our online network.

Over the past months, more & more conversations have been had, prayers have been shared, RSVP’s have been made, & food, roles, & needs have been assigned & claimed.

But to truly get the full use of this great tool, we want YOU to start creating events, carrying out ministry, sharing stories, & inviting others to be a part of what you’re doing.

“The City” (the official name of our online network) has seen drastic improvements over the past weeks, & one of the biggest ones has made it a breeze for anyone to create events!

SO… Do you like a certain board game? Want to go to a Rangers game? Hit the mountains of Utah this winter for a ski trip (I’m in! Maybe.)? Or want folks to join you for Burgers & Bock one Friday at Central Market? Create an event on the online network, invite a few non-believing friends as well, & live as a “community on mission!”

Here’s how, in 3 simple steps:

  1. Select the group you want to see the event, from the bar on the left. If just your Village, pick that. If the whole church family, pick that. Etc.
  2. Click “start something” then “event.” “Start something” appears near the middle of the page, once your selected group comes up.
  3. Follow the easy, easy steps & create whatever event you want. Here’s a quick step-by-step guide to make sure you don’t mess up: http://www.onthecity.org/blog/thanks-for-helping-us-make-events-better

Holler if you have questions, & use our online network well!
