"Foundations" Class - starting 03/21

In these first few weeks of The City Church's existence, we have been blessed and excited to see many folks jump into Villages, catch our church family's vision, and begin living life as "communities on mission" in your neighborhoods, jobs, etc. And we're excited and honored that the people of Sameuls Avenue Baptist Church are becoming part of The City Church family - it's a fast-paced, joy-filled season in our young church's life, to be sure!

Before The City Church officially launched, a "core team" of folks met weekly from September to December 2009, to lay a strong foundation for who we want to be as a church. Now we're offering that same opportunity to anyone who didn't get to walk through it this fall: March 21-May 23, we're hosting our first "Foundations Class," which is simply an 8-week introduction to life in The City Church.

Whether you've been part of Samuels Avenue Baptist Church and are transitioninging into The City Church family, or if you've just found a Village and have started getting involved, we encourage you to spend this vital time getting to know the DNA, identity, philosophy, and ministry of our church family.

All sessions will be held at The City Church: Samuels Ave. Building (715 Samuels Ave, 76102). We'll begin at 10am, when we'll eat brunch together and get to know each other, before discussing that day's topic:

  • 03/21: The Gospel
  • 03/28: Our Identities
  • 04/04: EASTER SERVICES
  • 04/11: Villages
  • 04/18: A Church of All Ages
  • 04/25: Evangelism, Apologetics, & Multiplication
  • 05/02: SERVE SUNDAY
  • 05/09: Social Justice & World Missions
  • 05/16: Discipleship & Care
  • 05/23: Theology & Truth

CLICK HERE to let us know you're coming, so we can have enough food and supplies. We look forward to walking through our church's foundations with you this Spring!
