Other than his college years in the good ol' city of Waco, Ben has spent his whole life in and around Fort Worth. 
He earned two Masters degrees from Dallas Seminary, has a decade of ministry experience, and before realizing the dream of The City Church, helped plant a church in southwest Fort Worth. In addition to devoting time to The City Church leadership, Ben also serves as an adjunct professor in TCU's communication studies department. He was approved as a member or the Acts 29 church planting network in 2009, and blogs in spurts at benconnelly.net.

Ben met Jess, a transplant from Omaha, NE, when he was a youth pastor during their 
undergrad years at Baylor. He hired her to be a summer intern, and three years after her start date, they married. Their first kiddo, Charlotte Joy, was born in August 2010. During down time, they both enjoy snow skiing (as often as possible), good conversation with folks, music, and movies.

Ben oversees much of the City Church's teaching and leadership development, and shepherds folks in the Near Southside/TCU area of Fort Worth, where his family lives.
